Arthur A. “Jeff” Rightnowar
Jeff Rightnowar Of Mt. Vernon Died At Age 78 Arthur A. “Jeff” Rightnowar, 78, Route 1, died at 11:20 p.m. June 28, 1987, at his residence. Mr. Rightnowar worked for Florsheim Shoe Co. for 43 years. He was a supervisor at the time of his retirement. Mr. Rightnowar was born June 13, 1909, in Jefferson County, a son of Ira and Millie (Lambert) Rightnowar. On Sept. 6, 1930, in Mt. Vernon, he married Nadine Peterson, who survives. The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home and J. Howard Kraps and Bill Newell will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, Mr. Rightnowar is survived by two sisters, Velma Wilkerson and Neva Adams, both of Bonnie; two brothers, Edsel Rightnowar and wife Mary Lou of Springfield and Willard Rightnowar of Belle Rive; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Rightnowar was a member of Elk Prairie Christian Church. He was also a member of Sesser Masonic Lodge No. 918 AF&AM. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, James Rightnowar and one sister, Zola White.
