Richard L. Robinson
Richard L. Robinson, 43, of Moro, Ill., a native of Mt. Vernon died at 8:40 a.m. Friday in the Alton Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto. The body will lie in state at the funeral home, where friends may call after 7:00 p.m. today and Sunday. Mr. Robinson, a graduate of Waltonville High School and a World War II veteran, was born in Mt. Vernon on Jan. 3, 1926, the son of Charles and Pauline (Shultz) Robinson. In 1946 he married Minnie Morss, who survives. Other survivors include his mother, six sons, Roy Lee of Roxanna and Bruce Alan, David Wayne, Jeffrey Lynn, Steven Ray, and Paul Glen, all at home; a daughter, Christy, at home; a brother Voris of Chicago; two sisters, Charline Adams of Centralia and Estelle Snider of Mt. Vernon; and a grandfather, Steve Shultz of Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death earlier this year by a brother, Jack L. Robinson.
