Laurene Roe, 80, of St. Peters, Mo., formerly of the Tamaroa area, passed away at 11:21p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at the Barnes-St.Peters Hospital in St. Peters.

Laurene had worked as an assembler at Bussmann Fuse Company. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was born Aug. 31, 1927, at Scheller, Ill., the daughter of John O. and Harriet F. (Laur) Hester.

She married John Roe on April 7, 1946, at the Fourth Baptist Church in St. Louis, Mo., and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of St. Peters; one son, Bruce Roe and wife Teresa of St. Peters; two grandchildren, Jason Roe of St. Peters and Joshua Roe and wife Monica of St. Charles, Mo.; and one sister, Becky Nowicki of Ashley, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Frances Roe, one brother, and three sisters.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the Knob Prairie Cemetery at Waltonville.
