Glenn E. Rough, 71, Grayville, died at 2:42 am Friday in St. Mary's Medical Center at Evansville, Ind.

He was a former resident of Mt. Vernon, and a retired mechanic for the Sohio Oil Co.

Mr. Rough was born Oct. 15, 1911, in Jefferson County, the son of Walter Edward and Minnie E. (Vaughn) Rough.

On Feb. 29, 1936, at Eldorado, he married Irene Casey, who survives.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday at the Sturm Funeral Home in Grayville with the Rev. Douglas Rorex officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery near Mt. Vernon. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 pm Sunday.

In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Jeanann Peterson of Broken Arrow, Okla., and Carolyn Barnard of Annapolis, Mo.; one son, Edward Rough of St. Charles, Mo.; three sisters, Beatrice R. Bond of Decatur, Bernice M. Lee of Mt. Vernon and Mabel Dally of Long Island, N.Y.; three brothers, Robert R. Rough of Toledo, Ohio, Frank A. Rough of Naperville, and Capt. J. L. Rough of Coronado, Calif., nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Rough was a member of Grayville First United Methodist Church.
