Lonnie Henry Runnels

Lonnie Runnels Funeral Is Held Today At Dix

Funeral services for Lonnie Henry Runnels were held at 1 p. m. today at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, with Rev. Mr. Stringer of St. Louis officiating, and burial was in Kirk cemetery in Ina.

Mr. Runnells, (sic.) of 2211 Miami street, St. Louis, died at 1:45 p. m. Friday in the St. Louis City Hospital. He was 47 years eight months and 11 days old.

Mr. Runnels was born April 15, 1911 at Ina, the son of James and Cora (Pickett) Runnels.

He was married to Eva Harrp, who died in 1945.

Survivors include one son Larry Rumels of Arlington, Calif.; two daughters Rozella Runnels of Stonington, Ill. and Mrs. Sharon Miller of St. Louis; six brothers, Enos Runnels of Ferguson, Mo., Harl Runnels of St. Louis, Onnie Runnels of Burkley, Mo., Carson Runnels of Ferguson, Mo., Carl Runnels of Arlington, Calif., and Lawrence Runnels of Mattoon; and one sister, Mrs. Dicie Miller of St. Louis.

Mr. Runnels, a welder, had lived in Jefferson county until the past seven yean during which he made his home in St. Louis. He was a member of the Penecostal church.
