Margaret Ellen Runnels Dies At Age Of 82 Years Mrs. Margaret Ellens (sic.) Runnels, of 1310 Westcott street, died at 5:20 this morning at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was 82 years, seven months and 13 days of age. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p. m. at Myers Chapel. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 4:00 p. m. Sunday. Mrs. Runnels was born December 14, 1874 in Saline county, Ill., the daughter of F. M. and Nancy (Brown) Gwaltney. She was first married, to Elighue Cox, in 1896. She was later married to William A. Runnels, who died March 23, 1954. Mrs. Runnels was a member of the Marlow General Baptist church. She is survived by one son, Earl Cox of Broughton, Ill., a stepdaughter, Mrs. Sarah E. Powell of San Francisco, Calif., two stepsons, Clarence Runnels of Nashville, Tenn., and William Runnels of San Diego, Calif., two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. This obit above clearly states her name is Margaret Ellen and her parents F. M. and Nancy (Brown) Gwaltney (which you can see on this Findagrave Memorial. I think this marriage below for William A. Runnels to a Marie Bailey is his first wife who is buried with him. Where Margaret is buried I do not know.Here is the marriage for Margaret and her first husband Elihu W. Margaret was his wife when he died.
