Cambel W. Ragan
Cambel W. Ragan, was born March 22, 1835. in Blount Co., Tenn., died March 26, 1910, aged seventyfive years and four days. He came to this county with his parents Richard and Barzilla Ragan in the fall of 1852, later was married to Annie E. Maxey. To this union 9 children were born; mother and three children have preceded to the great beyond, surviving are four boys and two girls; S. N. ; A. S.; B. E.; and J. W. Ragan and Mrs. W. P. Pigg and Mrs. W. C. Whitsel, all of this place except James of St. Louis. He leaves two sisters, Mrs. E. J. Leet of near Fairfield and Mrs. M. M. Miller, of Lebanon, MO, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Frank Clifton and a number of grandchildren to mourn his departure. Deceased was converted about 20 years ago and united with the Baptist church at Camp Ground and lived a faithful Christian until death.
