Janice Sailer, 81, of Mt. Vernon died 3:25 a.m. uly 31, 2003, at Mt. Vernon Care Center.

She was a homemaker. Born Aug. 12, 1921, in Keenes, she was a daughter of Milton and Flossie (Brown) Trout.

She married Nestor Tobias Sailer June 28, 1945, in Mt. Vernon and he died July 30, 1994.

Friends may call from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Hughey Funeral Home, prior to the 3:30 p.m. Saturday funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.Pastor Josepha Lecke will officiate the funeral.

Mrs. Sailer was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Survivors include sons James Sailer of Centralia and John Sailer and wife Alinda of St. Augustine, Fla.; grandchildren: Scott, Michelle, Brian and Seth, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a granddaughter Annie Sailer and one sister, Doris Virginia Allen.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Good Samaritan and will be accepted at the funeral home or can be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt. Vernon, IL., 62864.
