Guy Elbert Scott

Well Known Farmer Died Yesterday at Family Residence

Elbert Scott, a well known ........(cannot read this line) day afternoon at his home on route 15, seven miles east of Mt. Vernon. He had been in poor health several months.

Mr. Scott was a son of the late Smith Scott and wife, and was born Sept. 22, 1877, and his age at time of death was 56 years, one months and 16 days.

He was united in marriage December 28, 1897, with Mary Etheridge, who survives him.

The children survive as following: Mrs. Mabel Mount and Mrs. Blanche Body, both Mt. Vernon; and Virgil, Clyde and Wilma at home. Five grandchildren survive.

Mr. Scott was for many years a member of the Camp Ground Baptist church, and was consecrated ....was an aexcellent citizen whose influence was always on the side of right.

Funearl services will be held at Camp Ground at 1 p.m. Thursday conducted by the Rev. Bird Green and the Rev. Ross Partridge. Burial will be had in Etheridge cemetery.
