Nancy Jane Scott Dies at Age 82; RItes Thursday

Mrs. Nancy Jane Scott of the Tolle Road, died at 10:50 o'clock last night at Good Samaritan hospital, at the age of 82 years, nine months and four days.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 pm at Myers Chapel, with Dr. R. B. Guthrie officiating, and burial will be in Williams Cemetery.

The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friend may call at any time until the funeral hour.

Mrs. Scott was born May 23, 1868 in Crawford county, Ill. and was a resident of Jefferson county most of her lifetime. She was the daughter of Abraham and Martha Shelton.

She was married to Jasper Newton Scott, who preceded her in death March 27, 1948.

She is survived by three sons, Lee, Clarence and William Scott of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Mrs.Inez Kirkpatrick of Bluford and Mrs. Alta Irwin of Mt. Vernon; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
