HELEN SCRIVNER Helen May SCRIVNER, 85, of Belle Rive died 7:08 p.m. Nov. 6, 2002, at her home. She was a homemaker. Mrs. SCRIVNER was born Oct. 3, 1917, in Hamilton County to Oliver and Ethel (DIXON) RATLIFF. She married E. Foster SCRIVNER Dec. 31, 1934, having 67 years of marriage; he survives. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren. The Rev. Gary WHIPPLE will officiate. Burial will be in Flint Cemetery in Belle Rive. Friends may call ffrom 5 to 8 p.m. today at Gholson Funeral Home. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, David SCRIVNER and wife Linda of Belle Rive; two daughters, Carolyn CROSS and husband William and Andrea MORGAN and husband Kris, all of Belle Rive; eleven grandchildren, Cristy HUSE, Mallory KOONTZ, Wade SCRIVNER, Courtney SCRIVNER, Steven CROSS, Meleah WALTO, Ryan CROSS, Kara BELANGEE, Kristopher MORGAN, Andrew MORGAN and Lacie MORGAN; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including Iris and George DUNCAN; and one sister, Aileen COX and husband Elwin of Belle Rive. Mrs. SCRIVNER was a member of Jefferson County Homemakers Extension and a 50 year member of Eastern Star. She was a local youth sponsor of Loyal Temperance League. She was also a former 4-H leader and PTA member. She was a life-long, dedicated, active member of the United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Womens Group and taught Sunday school for many years, as God was first in her life. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ronald SCRIVNER; three brothers; and two sisters.
