Thomas Marion Scrivner
Funeral services for Thomas Marion Scrivner were conducted at 2:00 p.m. today at myers Chapel with the Rev. L.A. Adams officiating. Burial was in Bethel Memorial cemetery. Mr. Scrivner, 73. a former merchant at Camp Ground and an employee of the State Game Farm, died at 5:00 p.m. Saturday at his home on RFD 7, Mt. Vernon. Mr. Scrivner was born Aug. 23, 1889, in Hamilton county, the son of Joseph and Molly (Johnson) Scrivner. On Feb. 9, 1913, in Wayne county, he was married to Loe H. Swem, who preceded him in death in 1949. He was also preceded in death by a son, Bud, and two sisters. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harold Standerfer of Mt. Vernon; three brothers, Hugh Scrivner of Belle Rive, George Scrivner of Mt. Vernon and Earl Scrivner of Peoria; a sister, Mrs. Grace Buchanan of Mt. Vernon; a grandson, Jerry Standerfer of this city; and a great-granddaughter.
