Mrs. Vera Mae Sechrest, of RFD 1, Mt. Vernon died at 8:00 o'clock last night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Sechrest of RFD 5, Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Sechrest, wife of Uilon Sechrest, was 33 years, eight months and 26 days of age.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Hopewell Methodist Church. The Rev. Roy Beal will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Roger Neal, and burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. The body will remain at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix, where friends may call after 2:00 pm Tuesday.

Mrs. Sechrest was born May 23, 1922 in Jersey county, Ill., the daughter of Thomas F. and Lucy (Davenport) Weller. She had resided in Jefferson county for seven years.

Mrs. Sechrest was a member of the Marco Church.

Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Robert, Bertram, Gregory and Vern Michael, all at home; two Daughters, Vera Jean and Lois Elaine, both at home; three brothers, Everett Weller of Fieldon, Ill., and Lloyd and Kenneth Weller of Jerseyville; and one sister Louisa Grizzle of Mt. Vernon.

One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
