3 Hurt In Wreck Woman Is Killed East Of Town

Mrs. Alice Sellers, 29, of 2517 Herbert St., was killed early this morning in a two-car collision on flooded Route 15 just east of Mt. Vernon. Jefferson county sheriff's deputies were investigating the accident, which sent three other people to Jefferson Memorial Hospital.

The accident involved cars driven by Winford C. Sellers, 31, and John A. Desch, 43, Decatur. The cause of the collision had not been determined this morning.

Sellers was listed in fair condition this morning.

Also In fair condition there was Raymond 0. Moyer, 43, of Steward, a passenger in Desch's car. Desch was treated for minor injuries and released.

Mrs. Sellers' body was taken to Myers Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements were incomplete.

Mrs. Sellers was a nurses aide at Good Samaritan Hospital.

Alice Sellers Mt. Vernon

Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Faye Sellers, 29, of 2517 Herbert St., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Myers Chapel. Burial will be in Kirk cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 5 p.m. today.

Mrs. Sellers was killed in an auto accident early Saturday morning.

She was born Feb. 8, 1943, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Denzil and Clysta (Voyles) Johnson.

In 1969 she was married to Winford (sic) Sellers, who survives.

Mrs. Sellers was a nurse aide at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was a member of the Hoits Addition Free Will Baptist church.

Besides her husband. Mrs. Sellers is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Terry, of Mt. Vernon; three sisters, Mrs. Ray (Frances) Bravard, and Mrs. Don (Maxine) Hayes both of Mt. Vernon, and Delores Terry, at Home; and one brother, Denny Johnson of Mt. Vernon.

She was preceded in death by one son.
