Jacque L. (Johnson) Sharpe
Jacque L. Sharpe, 67, of Mt. Vernon died Feb. 4, 2006, at her residence. She was a caretaker for the elderly and also worked as a greeter for the Mt. Vernon Welcoming Center. Mrs. Sharpe was born Monday, June 27, 1938, in Mt. Vernon to Riley and Ruby (Caldwell) Johnson. She married Norman Sharpe Aug. 15, 1981, in Madison, Fla.; he preceded her in death May 8, 1986. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mt. Vernon. Addison Sharpe will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Sharpe is survived by a daughter, Kim Stoner and husband Clint of Plano, Texas; a son, Lon and Victoria Lowery of Carrollton, Texas; an aunt, Mary Williams of Mt. Vernon; and four grandchildren, Miles Stoner of Plano, Texas, Megan Stoner of Los Angeles, Calif., Aaron Lowery of Carrollton, Texas, and Nicole Parrish and husband Robert of Norman, Okla. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Norman Sharpe; and a brother, Paul Johnson.
