James Shelton, aged 21, died at the hospital Monday afternoon as the result of enlargement of the spleen. He was operated on twice for this trouble, but his condition was such before the case was operated on that recovery was out of the question.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. Bell at the family residence, 523 Bell Street, Tuesday, and the burial was at Hopewell.
