James Henry SHELTON, 78, well known Bonnie farmer, died at his home Sunday afternoon.

He was born in Jefferson County March 9, 1880, the son of Samuel P. and Jane (PETERSON) SHELTON.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mayme WELLS; one son, Burrell SHELTON, and a daughter, Mrs. Carrie BAKER, both of Bonnie; 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday at the South Hickory Hill Church, conducted by Rev. PARSONS. Interment was at South Hickory Hill Cemetery.
