Emma Ruth (Moore) Shrum
Mrs. Ruth Shrum Died at Stanford Register-News Correspondence. BELLE RIVE, July 10 -- Word was recieved here Saturday of the dath of Mrs. Ruth Moore Shrum at her home in Standford, Ill., Friday July 8, 1921 of diabetis of which she had been a sufferer for many years. Mrs. Shrum was the daughgter of Mr. and Mrs. Huston Moore, former residents of this place, and was married only this spring to Roy Shrum. She was about 18 years of age, a very bright and interesting young lady and had many firneds here who will regret to learn of her death.
She is survived byher husband and two brothers, James and Guy. Funeral arrangements were not learned.

Vernon Register-News, page 1 Emma Ruth Moore, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Huston Moore, was born December 9, 1902, in Jefferson county near Bluford, and died at her home near Minier, July 8, 1921. She spent most of her life on the farm near Bluford. December 2, 1917, at the age of 15, she was converted and Dec. 16, of the same year, became a member of the Salem church, where she took an active part in both church and Sunday school. She lived a most devoted Christian life.
