Aged woman passed away Friday at home near Mt Vernon

Mrs Delia SMITH, mother of Mrs Frank SHIPLEY,passed away Friday, May 21,1926 at her home near Walnut Hill.

She was born Jan. 1, 1836 and when death claimed her was 90 yrs, 4 mths, 20 days of age.

She was married to Cest OWENS in 1847.To this union were born five children. Four have preceded her in death and one remaining to mourn the loss of her mother.

She was again married to James SMITH and surviving her are the one child, four stepgrandchildren, ten grandchildren, and number of great grandchildren.She was a loving mother and kind neighbor and was held in high esteem.

Funeral services were conducted on Sat, May 22 at Pleasant Hill, in charge is Rev.SMITH of Dix.
