Mr. John Smith of Albion, an uncle of Mrs. Morris Emmerson of this city, died Saturday and was buried yesterday.

He was one of the old pioneers of that county and during his business career amassed considerable property. For many years past he had been in a failing condition.

He leaves a widow and one son, Harry, who formerly lived in Ashley but now resides in Albion.
