Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth SMITH died at 7:00 Sunday night at ther home 216 South 16th Street. She was 68y8m26d of age.

Mrs. SMITH was born April 9, 1889 at Dahlgren the daughter of Marshall F. and Charity Bell (LEWIS) BRAKE.

On November 27, 1920 she married in Mt. Vernon to Oscar SMITH, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. SMITH was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and the auxiliary of the Veterans of World War I.

She is survived by one son, Roger O. SMITH of Mt. Vernon; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Roy GARRISON of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren; three brothers, Silas E., Earl and Lewis BRAKE, all of Mt. Vernon; and four sisters, Mrs. Charles KERN, Mrs. Charles ELLER and Mrs. Galen DAUGHTERY, all of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Pearl MORRIS or Tucson, Arizona.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete. The body was taken to the Pulley Funeral Home.
