Receives Word of Relative's Death

Mrs. Robert Bean of this city has received word of the death of her nephew, Ray Smith, 61, of Eugene, Oregon.

Mr. Smith, a former resident of Mt. Vernon, died suddenly May 5.

A graduate of Mt. Vernon high school, he left this city about 37 years ago.

His mother, Mrs. Lou Smith, who was well known here, died in California last September. His father died in the Spanish-American War.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter and two sons, all of Eugene, Oregon; a brother, Dios of Edmonton, Canada; and a sister, Made, of Palo Alto, Calif.
