Carla E. (Storment) Soloman
Carla E. Soloman, 50, of Mt. Vernon died 1:37 p.m. May 16, 2006, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon. She was a substitute teacher for Jefferson County Schools. Mrs. Soloman was born Feb. 20, 1956, in Mt. Vernon to Ralph and Elnora (Church) Storment. She was married to Dana Soloman. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Hopewell Cemetery in Jefferson County. The Rev. Frank Huston will officiate. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Soloman is survived by a son, Kash Soloman of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Kaycee Rosko and husband Jason of Ina and Creed Rosko of Ina; a foster daughter, Jessica Burzynski and husband Jarrod of Coello; a foster grandson, Gunner Burzynski of Coello; two brothers, Dean Storment and wife Kathy of Opdyke and Roger Storment and wife Jan of Plano, Texas; three sisters, Alice White and husband Warren of Mt. Vernon, Carol Allen and husband Mark of Maryville and Dixie Rector and husband Don of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Randy Storment. Mrs. Soloman worked as an X-ray technician at Crossroads Community Hospital and later as a counselor at Comprehensive Services of Mt. Vernon. She attended Lighthouse Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home or may be mailed to Hughey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 721, Mt.
