Carolyn Sue Staley, 76, of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away at 11:15 am December 3, 2021 at her residence.

She was born December 22, 1944 in Mount Vernon, Illinois to the late Carl and Mary Irene (Hertenstein) Herriman.

Carolyn married Michael Staley on April 21, 2007 in Mount Vernon, Illinois.

In addition to her loving husband of fourteen years, Carolyn is survived by her brother, Roger D. Herriman of Saint Louis, Missouri and several cousins and friends.

Mrs. Staley was of the Methodist Faith and worked at Reliance Insurance Company, M R Advertising and SSM as a switchboard operator. She also worked part-time at JCPenney for thirty-three years.
