Milton Standerfer

Milton (Milt) Standerfer, 86, of 2110 Logan street, died at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at his home.

He was a retired clerk in the grocery business.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Logan Street Baptist church, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Frank Trotter and the Rev. Ernest D. Standerfer officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel cemetary.The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 5:00 p.m. today. At noon Saturday the body will be taken to the church to lie in state until the funeral hour.

Mr. Standerfer was born January 10, 1883 in Hamilton county, the son of Rev. Wilburn and Rebecca Standerfer.

On September 2, 1903, in Ewing, he was married to Charlotte B. King, who survives.

Other survivors include one son, W. Ernest Standerfer of Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Fields of Mt. Vernon; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the Logan Street Baptist church for 56 years and a member of the Modern Woodmen of America.
