Mae Ola (Black) Stewart
Mae Ola Stewart, 77, of West Plains, MO., and formerly of Waltonville, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 , at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. She was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Waltonville, daughter to James Lloyd and Cecil Emily (Newell) Black. She married Clifford "Cliff" Wayne Stewart Sr. on Nov. 8, 1947, in St. Louis; he preceded her in death on Sept. 1, 2005. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery in West Plains. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 today (Saturday) at the funeral home. Mrs. Stewart received her education at the Rightenowar Elementary and Woodlawn High schools. She was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. She is survived by five children, Cheryl Roberts and husband Bill of Bethalto, Pam Divelbiss and husband Randy of Gepp, Ark., Wayne Stewart and wife Elena of Washington, MO., Andrea Craig and husband Mike of Gans, Okla., and Lowell Stewart and wife Laura of West Plains; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Douglas Black.
