Georgeann W. (Stockard) Bullock
Georgeann W. Stockard, daughter of John D. and Mary Stockard, was born in Russelville, Ark., Jan. 19, 1848 and died at the Egyptian hospital in Mt. Vernon, Ill., Jan. 12, 1912. She, with her parents, moved to Ill. in 1863 and has made Mt. Vernon her home most the the time since. She was married to Merrit Bullock in 1867, and to this union two children were born. They are Minnie B. and George. Her husband, with her daughter Minnie preceded in the great beyond. In early life, she united with the Methodist church at Pleasant Grove and was a member of the First Methodist church at Mt. Vernon, Ill. at the time of her death. She had four sisters and one brother, all of whom survive her except Mrs. Mary Wooten, who died in 1893. The living are Mrs. John Marteeny, of Mt. Vernon; Mrs. Hugh Flanagan, of Woodlawn, Ill.; Mrs. George Bush, of Van Buren, Ark.; and James Stockard of Mt. Vernon, Ill. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. G. E. McCammon, at the residence, 114 North Ninth St., at 1:30 o'clock, followed by interment at Old Union cemetery.
