Mrs. Etta May Stonecipher, 95, of Centralia, died at 7:30 pm Tuesday at the Yaw Nursing Home in Odin.

She was a former resident of Field township.

Mrs. Stonecipher was born in Jefferson county on July 19, 1876, the daughter of Joseph and Matilda (Mitchell) Chambliss.

She was married in Mt. Vernon on March 17, 1895 to W. L. Stonecipher, who preceded her in death in 1944.

Mrs. Stonecipher was a member of Zion United Methodist church.

Surviving are one son, E. J. Stonecipher of Centralia; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday at the Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 pm Friday.
