Wilma P. Sursa, 82, of Mt. Vernon died 7:04 pm April 9, 1997, at Doctor's Nursing Home in Salem. She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Sursa was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of John and Minnie (Pigg) Hopper.

Aug. 15, 1937, in Mt. Vernon, she married William Eugene Sursa, who died May 15, 1994.

Services will be 10:30 am Friday at the Hughey Funeral Home with the Rev. Alice True officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Mt. Vernon. Friends may call after 9:30 am Friday at the Hughey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sursa is survived by one daughter, Peggy Lisenbey and husband Gene of Iuka; one grandson, Steven Lisenbey of Iuka; one sister, Alma Ruth Wyatt of Ewing; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sursa was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and two sisters.
