Alma L. "Dee" Tapp
Alma L. "Dee" Tapp, 68, of Mt. Vernon, died 7:30 am Nov 29, 1993, in her home. She was born July 30, 1925, in Mt. Vernon, a daughter of Marshall and Lidia Ethel (Pigg) Russell. Dec. 2, 1942, in St. Louis, she married Earl Douglas Tapp, who died Nov. 3, 1982. Services will be 1 pm Wednesday at the Hughey Funeral Home, with the Rev. Bob Atchison officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm today at the funeral home. Surviving are three daughters, Marsha Thomas and husband Curtis of Mt. Vernon, Connie Bonner and husband Jimmie L. of Eldorado, and Terry Dismore and husband Jim of Centralia; a son, James Douglas Tapp and wife Judy of Beecher City; six grandchildren, Nathan J. Bonner, Amy Drew, Pam Jasper, Jeff Keef, Dee Musgrave, and Doug Tapp; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lena Faye Gregory and Thelma Dial, both of Mt. Vernon; a brother, Ralph Russell and wife Mildred of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. She was a Baptist. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
