Ann Taticek, 77, of Mt. Vernon died 3:50 a.m. Dec. 26, 2004, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

She was born March 13, 1927, in Mt. Vernon to Ernest Duty and Hattie (Simmons) Duty.

She married Edward Taticek on Oct. 13, 1967, in Kentucky; he survives.

She was a registered nurse in Indiana, New Jersey and Wisconsin.

Per the request of Mrs. Taticek, she is to be cremated and no public services nor visitation will be held.

Survivors include her husband, Edward Taticek of Mt. Vernon; brother Charles Duty of Cahokia; sister Helen Summers of California; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and five sisters.
