Ella (Dillingham) Taylor

Rites Here Friday For Mrs. Ella Taylor

Ella Dillingham Taylor of 1112 Summit avenue, East St. Louis, died at 5:50 p.m. yesterday at the Salem Memorial Hospital.

She was a former resident of this city where she was a charter member of the Joel Pace Chapter, D.A.R.

Mrs. Taylor was born January 9, 1867, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of James T. and Pamela (Pace) Dillingham.

She was united in marriage October 24, 1888, to William WDwight Taylor who preceded her in death March 1, 1925.

Surviving are two sons, Dwight Dillingham Taylor and Frank Gibson Taylor, both of Salem; one step-son, George A. Taylor of Lakewood and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Taylor, who had resided in East St. Louis 48 years, transferred from the Joel Pace Chapter to Cahokia Mound chapter and she was also a member of the East St. Louis Wednesday club, Shubert club and Thursday Literary club.

Funeral services will be doncuted by the Rev. Clyde Todd of Mt. Vernon and the Rev. F. E. Harris of East St. Louis in Meyrs Chapel Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Oakwood cemetery.

The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel.
