James Taylor, 84, Dies; Rites Thurs.

Jake Taylor died at 9:45 o'clock last night at his home, 226 Casey avenue. His age was 84 years one month and 18 days.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pulley Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ace Summers officiating, and burial will be in Hickory Hil cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Pulley Funeral Home where friends may call at any time after 5:00 p.m. today.

Mr. Taylor was born February 28, 1862, in Bald Hill township, the son of Jake and Sarah Elizabeth Taylor.

In 1929 he was united in marriage with Dicey Osborne, who survives.

Besides his widow, Mr. Taylor is survived by six step-children, 26 step-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
