Martha Jane (Davis) Terrell
MRS. TERRELL OF BLUFORD IS DEAD; BE BURIED FRIDAY Mrs. Martha Terrell, widow of W. B. Terrell, died Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock. She had been in impaired health since the death of her husband which occurred eight years ago. Her age at time of death was 70 years, seven months and nine days. She is survived by six children, namely: Mrs. Bertha Lowry, Bluford; Mrs. Nelle Amick, Kansas City, Mo.; Elmer Terrell, State Center, Iowa; John Terrell, Dixon, Ill.; Clyde Terrell, Mt. Vernon; Bryan Terrell, Hollandale, Minn. She leaves two sisters and one brother; Mrs. Mary F. Kirkpatrick and W.R. Davis of Bluford and Mrs. Lucinda Epperson of Chicago, and nine grandchildren, beside a host of other relatives and friends. She was one of Jefferson county's most highly respected, loyal and consecrated member of the Bluford Baptist church and was always interested in the welfare of the church. She lived a very unselfish life, thinking of the welfare and comfort of others before herself. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Bluford Baptist church with Rev. Cyrus Mauling officiating, assisted by Rev. Bird Green. Burial will follow in East Hickory Hill cemetery. Friends may view the body at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bertha Lowery, on the east hard road at any convenient time until the funeral hour.
