Lillian Bernice (Scott) Timmons
Lillian Bernice Timmons, 87, of Bluford, Illinois died at 10:20 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, 2005 at her residence in Bluford. She was a retired soap wrapper for Proctor & Gambel of St. Louis, Mo. Mrs. Timmons was born Sept. 22, 1918 in Mt. Vernon, Ill. to Walter A. Scott and Nora L. (Atkinson) Scott. She married Dallas Timmons on Jan. 5, 1957 in Mt. Vernon and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1983. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005 at Williams Cemetery in Jefferson County, Ill. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to gather at the cemetery. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery in Jefferson County, Ill. The Rev. John Stanford will officiate. There will be no public visitation. Mrs. Timmons is survived by two sisters-in-law, Anice Scott of Bagdad, Fla., and Betty Scott of Bluford, Ill.; stepson Kerry Timmons and wife Debbie of St. Louis, Mo.; step grandson, Shaun Timmons of St. Louis, Mo.; two nieces, Carol Cash and husband Paul of Mechanicsville, Va., and Mary Ann Scott of Bagdad, Fla.; great niece, Sandra Sullivan and husband Jim of Gainesville, Fla.; great nephew, Scott Cash and wife Christina of Raleigh, N.C.; great-great niece, Grace Sullivan; great-great nephews, Michael and Matthew Cash. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Ray Fry; one infant son, Ray Fry, Jr.; three brothers, Howard, Elmo and Harold Scott. Mrs. Timmons was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bluford. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Hughey Funeral Home where you may call 618-242-3348 for further information.
