George Tracey
George Tracey, 64, Poplar bluff, Mo., died 11 a.m. March 24, 1992, at his home. Mr. Tracey was in construction work fro 35 years. He was born Dec 10 1927, in Jefferson County, a son of Dave and Fleeta (Holloway) Tracey. March 15, 1951, in Mt. Vernon, he married Bonnie Pigg, who survives. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Johnston Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon with the Rev. Geraldine Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. In addition to his wife, Mr. Tracey is survived by a son, Bruce A. Tracey of Genoa; a daughter, Mrs. Timothy (Nancy L.) Kingren of Sycamore; two brothers, Dwight McConnaughhay of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Bill Tracey of Mt. Vernon; and five sisters, Marie Ashley of Buffalo Grove, Mary Moss of Belvidere, Freda Houtz of Mt. Vernon, and Betty Woodworth and Mary L. Thomas, both of Bluford. Mr. Tracey was a veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post of Kingston and Construction Local No. 109 of DeKalb.
