WEST CITY - Sharon Kay TROUT, 61, formerly of Mount Vernon, died at 12:53 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, in her home.

She was born Dec. 13, 1946, in Mount Vernon to Dewey "Jack" and Rosella (BROWN) MARCUM.

She married Ronnie "Ron" TROUT on Aug. 22, 1963, in Mount Vernon.

She assisted her husband with pastoring West City Church of God.

Sharon was a member of West City Church of God and was on the board of directors. She was also store manager of Mount Vernon Rescue Mission and she was a licensed cosmetologist.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2007, in West City Church of God in West City, with Brother Harol WHITLOCK, Bishop Don STOVALL and the Rev. Robert DIAL officiating. Burial will be in Kirk Cemetery in Ina. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2007, in Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Ron TROUT of West City; son, Kevin TROUT and wife, Lisa, of Mount Vernon; daughter, Kathy SIMS and husband, Bob, of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Kable SIMS and fiancé, Nathan TIMM, of Salem, Brogan SIMS of Mount Vernon, and Josh and Jacob TROUT of Mount Vernon; mother, Rosella MARCUM of Mount Vernon; and sister, Marilyn CHILDERS and husband, Michael, of Paducah.

Her father; one sister, Carolyn DELANEY; and one granddaughter, Shasta Blare SIMS preceded her in death.
