Marguerite Louise Vallowe, 84, of Mt. Vernon died 2:45 p.m. May 28, 2005, at St. Mary's Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Vallowe was born Jan. 24, 1921, in Woodlawn to Sam and Madge (McGill) Wood.

She married Verner E. Mays Sept. 9, 1945; he preceded her in death June 7, 1977.

She later married George P. Vallowe March 10, 1980, in Mt. Vernon; he survives.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. J. Howard Kraps will officiate. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens in Mt. Vernon. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hughey Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.

Mrs. Vallowe is survived by her husband, George P. Vallowe of Mt. Vernon; two daughters, Kaye Ellis and husband Virgil of Mt. Vernon and Phyllis Rightnowar of Mt. Vernon; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; a brother, John Wood; and a son-in-law, Larry Rightnowar.
