Relatives have received word of the death of James Henry VAUGHN, 83, former resident of Jefferson County. Mr. VAUGHN died last Wednesday in Paragould, Ark. He resided in McClellan Twp. for a number of years before moving to Arkansas.

Surviving are his widow, Minnie; three daughters, Mrs. J. H. VESTAL of Dallas, Texas, Mrs. Frank THOMAS of Sallisaw, Okla., and Mrs. E. L. HARRELL of Seagonville, Texas; five sons, Garner, Ray, and Elbert of Paragould, Ark., Vernon of Dallas, Texas, and Aaron, who resides in Northern Illinois; three step-sons, Edward TIMMS of St. Louis, MO., Alva BEAN of Collinsville and I. N. BEAN of Mt. Vernon; a step-daughter, Mrs. Flarn RICHARDSON of Mt. Vernon; and a sister, Mrs. Love ROBINSON of Murphysboro.
