Richard Ward

Richard Monro WARD, died at his home in Elk Prairie township, Wednesday, July 27th, aged 32 years.

Deceased was born in this county July 16, 1866.

He was married to Miss Emma REYNOLDS in Oct. 1883, and leaves a wife and five children, two sons and three daughters to mourn his loss.

Mr. Ward possessed a strong religious disposition and was indefatigible in all good works. He joined the Missionary Baptist church in March, 1895, and was baptized shortly afterwards and taken into full membership.

Deceased leaves a father, four brothers and three sisters to survive him, of whom the former as well as one sister, Mrs. Molly Klines(Khnes?), lives in this county.

Of the other members of the family William lives at Kansas City; James S. at Montana, Kan.; Mrs. Glazebrook at Femoso, Cal(?); Lewis B., Frank P. and Mrs. Lucy ISOM at Fitzgerrell, Ill.

His funeral was preached by Rev. Chas. HUNT, and was largely attended by his old friends and neighbors. His last words were " I want to go over there. All is well."
