Ollie T. (Brownfield) Waugh
Ollie T. Waugh, 91, Dahlgren, died 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24, 1989, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. Mrs. Waugh was a retired interior decorator. Mrs. Waugh was born Dec. 21, 1897, in Pilot Grove, Mo., a daughter of Alex and Elizabeth (Orr) Brownfield. April 1, 1915, she married Lewis "Luke" Waugh, who died in 1960. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gholson Funeral Home in Dahlgren with the Rev. Roy Shifley officiating. Burial will follow in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in McLeansboro. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Waugh is survived by one son, Robert Waugh and wife, Maxine, of McCallister, Okla.; two daughters, Mildred Howard of Dahlgren and Norma Aydt of Illiopolis; nine grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Waugh was a member of Dahlgren Senior Citizens, National Council of Senior Citizens and was active in the Green Thumb Program.She was also a member of Markham City Church of the Nazarene, near Bluford. Mrs. Waugh was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and three sisters.
