ROSCOE WEBB, FORMER RESIDENT DIES AT COELLO

Roscoe Lemuel Webb, 65, of Coello, Ill. died Thursday at 5:30 a.m. in Miners Hospital at Christopher.

He was a former resident of Mt. Vernon and, for many years, was an employee of the Mt. Vernon Car Mfg. Co.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher. Burial will be in South Hickory Hill cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Gilbert Funeral Home where friends may call at any time.

Mr. Webb was born in Wayne county in 1898, the son of George and Mickey (Tate) Webb.

He was married to Pansy Works, who survives.

He is also survived by a son, Bobby Joe Webb of Mt. Vernon; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Fallery of St. Louis; six brothers, Jim and Willie Webb of Mt. Vernon, Henry Webb of Indianapolis, Ind., George Webb of Texas, Art and John Webb of Chicago; five sisters, Mrs. Cora Boger, Mrs. Myrtle Gillan, Mrs. Connie Shores, all of Indianapolis, Ind., Mrs. Edna Stover of Coello, and Mrs. Sue Burton of Mt. Vernon; and five grandchildren.
