JOHN J. WEBBER DEAD
Had Been Ill about Ten Days Death Due to Blood Poison

John J. Webber, aged 26 years, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Webber, died at the home of his parents at 4:50 o'clock Sunday afternoon, July 26, death being caused by blood poison. He had been ill about 10 days, but from the first seemed to think he would not get well. The foundation of his trouble was tonsilitis, which became more aggravated and finally resulted in blood poison.

John was a quiet, unassuming boy, and possessed a gentle nature which made him well liked by every one and his death will cause a vacancy in a circle of friends and in his home that cannot be filled. He had always lived in this city.

He was converted in the Baptist church several years ago and joined the First M. E. church shortly after and has since been identified with that church.John was an active member of the B.M.I.U., being financial secretary of that orginization. He was also a member of the Iuka Tribe of Red Men.

The funeral will be held at the First M. E. church at 3 p.m. Tuesday, the services being conducted by Rev. J. A. Taylor. The remains will be laid away in Oakwood. Hubert Webber, brother of the deceased, who is living in Salem, N.J. has been notified and will reach here in time for the funeral.
