WALTONVILLE -- Lloyd Wilson Weeks Jr., 59, died at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at home.

He was born Feb. 6, 1945, the son of Lloyd Wilson and Mary (Winks) Weeks Sr. in Salem.

On July 3, 1972, in Mount Vernon, he married Jerri Lea Crowder who survives.

He worked at Joy Mining and Machinery in Mount Vernon for many years.He was a member of Boilermakers Union 483.

He served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife, Jerri of Waltonville; his mother, Mary of Alma; one son, Justin Weeks and wife Kendra of Bluford; one daughter, Ashley Weeks of Paducah; one brother, Andrew Weeks and wife Veronika of Bloomington; and one sister, Phyllis Smith and husband Ron of Salem.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2004, at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, with the Rev. David Wiggins officiating. Burial will be at Smith Veterans Cemetery with Full Military Honors by American Legion Post 141 of Mount Vernon.
