Marilyn Kaye Weems, 63, Mt. Vernon, passed away at 3:05 a.m. on June 2, 2007, at her home.

She was born on Monday, Sept. 13, 1943, in Mt. Vernon, the daughter of Guy Amos Standerfer and Leah Evelyn (Goin) Standerfer.

She married Earl Butch Ilbery in November of 1963, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 1974.

She married Jack Weems on Dec. 22, 1995, in Mt. Vernon, and he survives.

She was a real estate agent for Moorehouse Realty and owner/operator of Marilyn’s Beauty Shop.

A private memorial service was held Sunday, June 10, 2007, in the Chapel at Mt.Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn. The Rev. Kenneth Holland officiated.There was no public visitation. Inurnment was at Mt. Vernon MemorialGardens.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Jack Weems of Mt. Vernon; son Stephen Ilbery and wife Carol of Troy, Mo.; and two granddaughters Chrystal Kemp and Sarah Nicole Ilbery, also of Troy.

Her parents and her first husband preceded her in death.
