Goldie Martha (Belle) Thompson Wetzer
Mrs. Goldie Wetzer, wife of John Wetzer, died at the family home, 824 South Twentieth Street yesterday afternoon at 4:30 PM. Death was due to a complication of ailments. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church at 9 o'clock and burial will follow at Oakwood. Mrs. Wetzer was 37 years of age. She is survived by her husband, John Wetzer and the following named children: Velma, Hallene, Viola, Ruth, Anna Marie, and Charles William. Her aged father Ezekiel Thompson and two sisters and one brother as follows: Mrs. Walter Cowger, near Mt. Vernon, W.J. Thompson, Danville, Illinois, and Charles J. Thompson, Mt. Vernon. Mrs. Wetzer was a member of the Knights and Ladies of Security. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mrs. Wetzer's death is universally regretted by her many friends, and she will be sadly missed in the home. She spent practically her entire life in this city, and was held in the highest respect and esteem by all who knew her. Her home and loved ones were her first care and were ever uppermost in her heart. She had been in poor health some time and seriously sick for several weeks.
