Glen Allen Wheeler, 71, of Leesburg, Fla., died June 9, 2006.

He was a field service engineer. He retired from Butler Automatic in Canton, Mass.

Mr. Wheeler was born in Mt. Vernon and moved to Leesburg after living in Boston, Mass.

He was active in the Eagle Lodge in Leesburg, Fla. He was also a U.S. Army veteran.

Funeral services for Glen Allen Wheeler will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Bevers Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Alan Holden officiating.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Interment will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushness, Fla.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Wheeler of Leesburg, Fla.; stepdaughter Gayle Whittaker of Naples, Fla.; stepson Shane Whittaker of Medway, Mass.; and sisters Maxine Hogshead of Woodlawn and Norma Beckham of Lakewood, Colo.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry, and parents John and Irene (Loss) Wheeler.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake and Sumter, 12300 Lane Park Road, Tavares, Fla, 32778.
