Eunice (Cochran) Dodson White
Mrs. Eunice (DODSON) WHITE of 615 Home Avenue in Edwardsville, Ill., died at 11:50 p.m. Thursday in Jefferson Memorial Hospital. She was 90 years, 2 months and 18 days old. She was a former resident of Mt. Vernon. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Myers Chapel with the Rev. James FEAMAN and the Rev. F. L. TROTTER officiating. Burial will be in West Salem Cemetery. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. WHITE was born December 7, 1874 in Jefferson County, the daughter of Rush and Nancy Ann (CRAWFORD) COCHRAN. She was first married to E. S. DODSON, who preceded her in death on May 13, 1928. On September 3, 1939, she married W. W. WHITE, who preceded her in death on June 2, 1953. She was also preceded in death by a daughter and son. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn CHRISTIAN of Edwardsville; four sons, Fred, Elmer, Burrell, and Loren (Tine) DODSON, all of Mt. Vernon; a step-son, Clyde WHITE of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Gladys HOWELL of this city; two half-sisters, Mrs. Vivian FICKLE of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Cecil MANIS of Ewing; three half-brothers, Jess COCHRAN of Morris, Ill., Charles COCHRAN of Bloomington, Ill., and Frank COCHRAN of Ina; 12 grand-children and 24 great-grand-children.
