Harold “Rabbit” Wicks, 94, Mt. Vernon, passed away at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, at White Oak Rehabilitation and Health Care in Mt. Vernon.

He was born in Mt. Vernon on May 8, 1913, the son of Nathan L. and Lois M. (Boston) Wicks.

He married Aline Barva in June of 1947, in Mt. Vernon, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 21, 2007.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel in Woodlawn with Chaplin Ernie Collins officiating. Interment will follow. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens Chapel.

Harold is survived by a brother, Donald “Curly” Wicks of Mt. Vernon.
