BORN IN KENTUCKY DIED IN ILLINOIS Beautiful Life of Mrs. John D. Williams Came to a Close Sunday Morning - Pneumonia the Cause Mrs. Nannie Williams, beloved wife of John D. Williams, passed away at the family residence, 704 North St., at 4:40 Sunday morning, after an illness of nine days, due to pneumonia. She was 75 years of age. She suffered a nervous breakdown five years ago from which she never fully recovered. She was a useful character in the world of christianity and lived to make those about her happy. As a church member she was valuable for she lived by the teachings of her chosen denomination, the Christian church, to which she had belonged since 1861. Her father was a minister in this church and administered the baptismal service when she was baptized. The subject of this sketch was born in Harrodsburg, Ky., in 1835; she was twice married, her second husband being John D. Williams, Nov. 1st, 1885, in Hardinsburg, Ky. Her body was taken to Irvington, Ky., Monday for burial and was accompanied by her only daughter, Mrs. Bessie Warren, of Louisville, Ky, and by her step-son, Walter Williams. Mr. Williams, the bereaved husband, was too ill to accompany the body of his dearly departed one. The remains will be laid to rest beside those of a daughter, Mrs. Lydia Jolly, who was recently called away.
